Yesterday was just such a day.  I hate wearing boring outfits to work, but sometimes you have to give way, especially if you work on Wall St.  There always has to be some item that I'm wearing that gives it the "it" factor, and my Emilio Pucci scarf was just that on this outfit.  The scarf is made of 100% silk, and it's pretty big, at 34" x 34" inches.

Work Day

Isn't it wonderful when one article of clothing just makes you feel fantastic?! This skirt from Club Monaco always does it for me. It finally cooled down in NYC on Monday with some rain and heavy clouds, and while I probably would be a bit bummed because the weather isn't as sunny as I would like it to be, this skirt just makes me smile :-).  Look at it! It's bright, it's cheery, it's flowy, how can you NOT be happy wearing it?! My feet were wet, my purse was wet, my hair was frizzing, but I must have been the happiest girl just strolling along Midtown heading back home from work. Yeah, it's that kind of skirt.

Howdy! So it's just been scorching here all over the East Coastm with temps easily in 100's for about 3 days straight. Working in Wall St. means wearing clothing that is NOT OPTIMAL for summer. I mean, sweat stains aren't the new "it" accessory and I don't think it will be anytime soon. So, that's why I didn't even bother sharing any outfits. Plus, it's too hot to be outside for more than 10 minutes at the best time of day for photos in the sun. Hope everyone stays nice and fresh! :-D

Brighton Beach, NY

Another gorgeous beach day in NYC, but this time instead of just saying it bitterly while I'm at work, I finally get to be at the beach and take advantage of the scorching summer sun and 90 degree weather.  O.K. so I wasn't in the Caribbean anymore, but a beach is a beach and my boyfriend and I went to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, NY.

Viejo San Juan, Puerto Rico

After being in Culebra Island from Thursday to Saturday, we had to leave Sunday morning for Viejo San Juan on the main island of Puerto Rico. We took a small charter plane, and the views were spectacular of the island. I was freaking out over nothing because I thought the weather was going to be horrible since it is considered hurricane season in the Caribbean. I was trying to take in all the sun I could in old San Juan before I had to come back home to NYC.

Culebra Island, Day 2

I was obviously going to the beach, and nothing is easier and more comfortable than a wrap.  It's especially fun when you find one with nice designs and texture.  I converted this wrap to a maxi skirt that day, but it can be converted to heaps of different styles.  You can find these in kiosks pretty much all over the world where it's warm.  I got mine in Hawai'i and another one in Australia.  These will pretty much never go out of style.

Culebra Island, Day 1

I went to Culebra Island in Puerto Rico for a long weekend with my boyfriend and it was amazing! Crystal clear waters, white powdery sand, and gorgeous sun all day long. This island is pretty much unspoiled, small boutique hotels, no resorts, and it's extremely troublesome to get there.  But once you make it there, it's totally worth it. An unsuccessful ferry ride and 20 minute charter plane ride later, you're in paradise. This vacation was a "no shoes allowed except flip flops" kind of vacation. These pictures are at Zoni Beach.
