Summer is Coming!

NYC might be gloomy outside right now, but summer IS coming.

My inspiration today was denim shorts and a red cross body purse for a very casual, rocker look. I found great pictures on Hypeed, one from the blogger Style in Lima and the other from Ireneexx in the Netherlands.

If you want to wear heels with this look, opt for mid range peep toe heels, this will help avoid looking hooker-esque because of the shorts.

The Beginning

So, I’m writing a blog because I read so many wonderful fashion blogs like Style Scrapbook and The Sartorialist, and what I see is just a burst of imagination and ingenuity in style, all while incorporating the “it” trends of the season. Not to mention the actual fashion shows from designers like Rodarte and Chanel. While some of their creative outlets look absolutely wonderful on the bloggers and models, and are amazing to look at, if I were to wear some of the things they pull off, I wouldn’t be so lucky to appear as fabulous.

That’s why my blog is going to be more about affordable, interchangeable, and wearable pieces and outfits for this season’s “IT” trends. For future posts, I’ll incorporate outfits I’ve made from what I currently have in my closet and pieces from what are in stores from some of my favorite shops.
